Our Mission

The Sigma Phi Epsilon Alumni and Volunteer Corporation (AVC) at George Mason University funds scholarships and leadership programs that develop college undergraduate and graduate students’ academic, leadership, citizenship, and personal potential. Thanks to the generosity of alumni, family, and friends, the Alumni Corporation continues to provide the necessary environments, education, experiences, scholarships, and loans.

The Alumni Corporation has also established a scholarship fund to provide recognition, inspiration, financial assistance, and encouragement to the Virginia Mu AVC members and the spouses, children, and grandchildren of AVC members or deceased members.  These awards are presented to outstanding AVC members and family members enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs, professional development courses, or vocational training.

These scholarships help pay for targeted, outcomes-based programs that prepare young men for success. The scholarships and grants are also used to help fund and expand the programs and events that create opportunities to continue to be active in your commitment to the ideals of brotherhood and Sigma Phi Epsilon.

SigEp’s programs and services enhance the educational and life experiences of our brothers and volunteers. These initiatives facilitate the transition to college, support academic achievement and leadership during college, promote preparation for life after graduation, and offer opportunities to stay connected and engaged.
